There are three reasons people get a psychic reading. And I have a bonus one for you that you probably haven’t thought about. If you have had readings yourself, these are going to be familiar, and the one odd one will have you thinking:
1. For insight
Obviously the number one reason. Questions like, ‘Where am I going? What am I doing? I need some direction. Pretty familiar territory, right? People often get a reading to get a second opinion. Readers can give people a different view on things going on in their lives. When a reader gets you, they will be able to completely understand a situation and describe it to you.
So as a reader, that is what you want to provide to your clients. Once you are able to level with them and let them know that you really understand their situation, they will listen to what you have to say.
2. Insight
As a psychic, you can provide a higher viewpoint. A spiritual perspective that your clients are not able to see for themselves. That can be an entire situation or just parts of the whole they just can’t put their fingers on. This is why a lot of people go to psychics. They have their ‘muggle goggles’ on most of the time, and they need someone else to provide that spiritual perspective for them.
3. Direction
Sometimes people don’t’ know what direction to take. They are at a crossroads in their lives and they are in an in-between state. They might be looking for a completely new direction or just a confirmation about the one they are on. There is a fourth one that is not commonly considered but is hugely important.
4. Comfort
People want to be understood and want to feel like they have someone in their corner. Being understood and acknowledged is one of the reasons they would go to a psychic for. They want the comfort of knowing that Spirit are also in their corner. That they are not alone and they are loved. We can provide that as well with our readings. Even if the reading isn’t all that great, if we can provide that comfort to the person who’s come to see us, we have done our job.
Our job is not to save or change lives or even to give answers to all of their questions.
Our job is to provide them with that opportunity to connect with their soul so they know that they are loved and they are not alone. We can’t be everything to everyone but we can provide these four things to the people who come to us for a reading. Does that make it feel easier to give readings? Did the last reason surprise you?
