I bet there’s a movie you can think of right now that you saw as a child that you still remember. One that touched your soul.
Which is the job of all good art, and, incidentally psychic work.
My feet were set on the spiritual path by such a movie, (a classic black and white war movie) and I’ve even got a list of them in my blog, but I’ve just found another:
Disney Pixar’s Soul. Have you seen it?
Among the many tear-producing moments, but this early part strikes a chord: Joe’s school band clunks along until one child is swept up in the music and does an amazing trombone solo.
The part where he shares how it feels to be swept away in something? That’s the feeling of being connected in psychic and spiritual work.
She’s swept away by something greater.
Joe talks about what this ‘swept away’ feeling is and the whole class is awakened to the magic of music.
Ever been so absorbed in something that you lost track of where you were or the time?
Or you just expressed yourself with ZERO self-consciousness because you were SO in the moment and in your own power?
That’s acting from the soul.
That’s where we’re headed in My Psychic Soul. Touching that place of complete immersion where there’s no self-consciousness, fear, or doubt in the psychic work we do, and we allow our soul to guide us, instead of the mind.
The little fish
This tiny clip from Disney’s Soul movie sums up the entire premise behind psychic work: We’re all connected. We’re swimming in a psychic sea. We have no choice BUT to be connected, and like the little fish, once we realise that, the rest is easy.
