When Spirit calls do you listen?

by | Apr 25, 2015 | Mediumship, Personal | 0 comments

Today a dog photobombed a mediumship reading. In the middle of a spirit call, he climbed onto the chair next to me nudging his big furry face into the camera.

As the screen filled with Bruce’s pink slobbery chops, my client’s face lit up – he looked so much like her dog Luna, who was now in spirit.

They both had a  heart shaped patch on their foreheads, and both had big pit bull type heads. She shared fond memories while Bruce rested his head on the desk listening in. And he didn’t get down. He stayed there for the rest of the reading. Awkwardly.

Never mind the chair was newly upholstered. Never mind he was  bunched up like a hippo on a pin top. He had to be there, and it was perfect.

It’s not the first time pets and animals get in on the action.

I ran an aromatherapy healing centre in Byron Bay for twelve years. It was a coastal town known for its alternative lifestyle and the first place in Australia to receive the sun’s rays at dawn. Being a hippie town, it was totally normal to have a half dingo on staff.

In case you’ve never met a dingo, they’re like cats. There’s no telling them what to do or where to go. Baxter was always his own dog. So when he wanted in on the session, I knew there was work to do from Spirit.

When Spirit calls, will you listen?

Spirit uses any co-operating force to get a message through. Natural love bonds are the perfect carrier wave, and your pets are always looking for ways to communicate. We often hear about finding feathers as messages from our loved ones – but how does a feather get there? It presumes a team player bird.

Loudly twittering sparrows outside a window just as you have a big “Aha” moment, may not be a coincidence.

Black cats running across the path on approach to an important destination. Folk tales about animal helpers span hundreds of years because the old folk knew a thing or two and spent time gazing at the world instead of gazing at an iPhone.

They read the signs. Now it’s time for us to retro fit ourselves; to tune in like the old folk did; to become aware of the world around us and of worlds within worlds.

This is Bruce – head on desk right by me.

A pet snuggles in closer when you are feeling down, or becomes your little shadow. It scratches at the door to alert you of a spirit presence, tail wagging in recognition. A strange dog approaches to lick your hand, or a hawk locks eyes as it flies by.
