Am I on my soul purpose?
You’ve wondered if you are on your soul purpose, or a particular direction is the right one. You’ve consulted oracles and psychics and stared at shapes in the clouds and still not sure.
When figuring out your soul purpose, stop thinking and feel, instead.
As an aromatherapist and healer I’ve worked on 11,700 bodies. I’ve seen more hairy backs and butt fluff than I care to. After unknotting 10,000 tight shoulders, here’s what I know about bodies as a psychic:
Bodies never lie, and they don’t have egos.
The mind can conjure up an Emerald City of excuses, but the body always tells the truth. We only have to listen.
Meg wanted to know if spending $4000 on a new intuitive training package to build her business was good idea. She liked the coach; they had a big list of accomplishments and a glossy website. Though Meg’s new business was doing fine, she wanted more.
She sat with the idea a minute and got quiet, using three deep breaths to centre and allow the day’s white noise to drop away. In her mind, she brought forward the coach and the package. As she sat with the feeling of working with this person, I asked how it felt in her body.
Was it a feeling of warmth or coolness? Relaxing or contracting? Where in her body did those feelings sit?
Meg realised there was a tightening in her tummy at the thought of working with the coach and a feeling of pulling away. Her body felt smaller when she thought about it, instead of relaxed and open to the flow, or even excited. Her breath became shallower and higher up in the chest and she crossed her legs. By tuning into the higher wisdom of herself, Meg got the answer.
The body never lies. It acts as a container and mirror for our higher wisdom.
It’s not that the body really knows – it’s more that it reflects the things we know deep down. By showing our real truths, our bodies hold a wealth of information. If we stop to feel, our bodies become a guiding compass. Next time there’s an important decision to make, ask your body for the answer:
Does the idea feel expanded or contacted when you imagine it?
Does some part tense up or relax?
Is there a natural opening, as if reaching toward it, or the opposite?
Does some place in the body hurt, like the back or knees?
Is there a sense of flowing or stuckness?
When asking big soul questions like soul purpose, use the body to feel instead of the mind. No one knows the truth more than your body
Tapping into natural wisdom becomes second nature when you allow time to listen to the body’s answer.. It doesn’t have to be long; a bath, a walk in the park, or some playtime with the dog will attune your inner wisdom and give it air time to serve you.

Hey!
Semi fictional story about me
In 1994, I had a midlife crisis, got a boob job and moved to Byron Bay.
Quickly realized there was nothing there but more boob jobs and white furniture, so I escaped faux-spiritual beach culture, went to Peru, and experimented with DMT.
While in Peru, fell in love with a Shaman who was really a plumber from Padstow, but stayed because of attachment issues.
After following a puma from the jungle, I holed up in a Scandi-style Air B’n’B and finally got enlightened.
Parts of this story are true.
