Make or break a psychic reading

Make or break a psychic reading in two minutes

If you’re a psychic professional or aiming to read for clients face-to-face, make use of the crucial first two minutes that will make or break a psychic reading.

Don’t do what I did

When I first started reading for clients, I had this crazy idea that the reading had to start the very second the poor client sat down, or we met for a video call.

I thought giving them the best experience meant starting the minute they sat down, and all that did was fluster the client and lead to confusion.

The first two minutes in a reading are the make or break point. Give them time to settle in and know what to expect.

The make or break two minutes

The make or break first two minutes is the crucial chit chat Things to cover may be:

  • How you work and the tools used.
  • Whether they can ask questions
  • Your scope of practice – what questions are off the table, like fertility or legal.

Setting a couple of minutes aside for the crucial chit chat reassures the client and makes the job easier. They may think we know their deepest, darkest secrets, or we have direct access to God, or they could be complete skeptics – waiting for us to prove something.

Semi fictional story about me

In 1994, I had a midlife crisis, got a boob job and moved to Byron Bay.

Quickly realized there was nothing there but more boob jobs and white furniture, so I escaped faux-spiritual beach culture, went to Peru, and experimented with DMT.

While in Peru, fell in love with a Shaman who was really a plumber from Padstow, but stayed because of attachment issues.

After following a puma from the jungle, I holed up in a Scandi-style Air B’n’B and finally got enlightened.

Parts of this story are true.
