Mediums can’t choose who comes in a reading

How confusing to suddenly feel your own loved ones instead of the passed over loved ones of the person being read for in a mediumship reading.
For a new medium, it can feel quite odd, but there’s a reason, as my student Julie discovered:
I was doing a practice mediumship reading and it felt more like I was tuning into my own loved ones in spirit rather than those of the person I was reading for.
But here’s the weird thing:
My person understood everything I said. Is it possible I tuned into both my own loved ones in Spirit and hers as a way to help me understand how they passed and how they felt? So confusing!

Whose loved ones are they anyway, in mediumship?

Here’s what happened:

Let’s take a look behind the scenes from the viewpoint of the Spirit person. They are working hard to get their message across, using all the skills they have.

Imagine not being able to actually speak, but having to transmit an idea across to someone. That’s quite a job!

Mediumship is like a game of charades, using all the memories stored with your own loved ones to spark the messages they want to convey. A spirit person will send feelings of love and pictures of happy times. They often transmit a feeling of their relationship too, in order to ‘prove’ it’s them.

Stop a moment and recall the feeling of your own mother. Feel that closeness and sense of comfort and love. This is a feeling of ‘mother’ that’s quite distinct.

Now imagine that’s the same feeling a mother in Spirit wants to convey to you as the medium, to get her daugher (your client) to recognise her. She will be so excited to connect with her daughter here on Earth, that she will transmit those feelings through you. And to be a good medium, we must learn to be that ‘phone line” between the worlds.

Being a phone line between the worlds

If a medium isn’t used to this kind of telepathy, it’s easy to be confused and think it’s their own mother coming in. Especially when figuring out what the relationship was, or a certain characteristic they may both have in common.
With the example of mother, suddenly you find yourself thinking of your own mother and how she’s always have her sheets and towels folded a certain way. Guess what? That’s exactly what this Spirit mother did too – congratulations on being the phone line to the Spirit World!

The Spirit world is so smart – they knew you had memories of your own Mum with her neat towels and used that as a piece of information to help your reading. These are spiritual reference points and will hugely help your mediumship sitting.

Knowing this is how the Spirit People work, it’s a wonderful tool that will lead to more evidence about them and make a mediumship reading even more powerful.

One reason they book psychic readings

There are three reasons people get a psychic reading. And I have a bonus one for you that you probably haven’t thought about. If you have had readings yourself, these are going to be familiar, and the one odd one will have you thinking:

Negative entities:This has to stop!

If I could condense 3 years of psychic training into one sentence, it would be: You always have the power!

I’m not talking about the power that’s loud and chest beating like Anthony Robbins, or even other manifesting gurus who teach you to bend the universe to your own will.

There’s another power that’s quieter, more subtle and that’s the power within. Your internal power

Am I On The Right Path?

You’ve wondered if this is your soul path, or if the direction you're going is the right one. Maybe you’ve consulted oracles or psychics or stared at shapes in the clouds. Here's an easy way to by pass all of that.   When figuring out your soul path, stop...

Straight up psychic -

zero fluff.

Semi fictional story about me: In 1994, I had a midlife crisis, got a boob job and moved to Byron Bay.

Quickly realized there was nothing there but more boob jobs and white furniture, so I escaped faux-spiritual beach culture, went to Peru, and experimented with DMT.

While there, fell in love with a Shaman who was really a plumber from Padstow, but stayed because of attachment issues.

After following a raven out of the jungle, I holed up in a Scandi-style Air B’n’B and finally got enlightened.

Parts of this story are true.

Am I psychic?

Am I psychic?

Mainstream religion and the New Age actively sell the idea psychic ability exists outside of you, or only to a (chosen by them) few. This is a lie. Being psychic is part of being human, so ‘Am I psychic?” YES!
