Signs from Spirit

In the middle of a mediumship reading, my dog climbed onto a chair to photobomb his big furry head into the Zoom call. As the screen filled with Bruce’s pink slobbery chops, my client’s face lit up – it was a sign from Spirit because he looked just like her dog Luna, who passed as a pup.

They even had matching heart-shaped patches on their forehead. She shared fond memories while Bruce rested his head on the desk listening in.

It’s not the first time pets and animals give signs from Spirit.

I ran an aromatherapy healing centre in Byron Bay for twelve years. It was a coastal town known for its alternative lifestyle and the first place in Australia to receive the sun’s rays at dawn.

Being a hippie town, it was totally normal to have Baxter, my half dingo rescue dog in reception.

In case you’ve never met a dingo, they’re more like cats. There’s no telling them what to do or where to go. Baxter was his own dog, so when he wanted to join any healing session, I knew it was a sign from Spirit that he had work to do.

How pets and animals give us signs from Spirit.

Our loved ones are always with us and only a thought away. It’s frustrating not to be able to pick up the phone to talk with them but they have other ingenious ways to get a message through.

Natural love bonds are the perfect carrier wave, and your pets are always looking for ways to communicate. We often hear about finding feathers as messages from our loved ones – but how does a feather get there? It needs a cooperating bird. This is where receiving messages from spirit gets fun.

Have you experienced a sign from spirit?

  • Loudly twittering sparrows outside a window just as you have a big “Aha” moment.
  • Black cats running across the path on approach to an important destination.
  • Not one, but many feathers appearing in odd places. A pet snuggles in closer when you are feeling down, or becomes your little shadow. It scratches at the door to alert you of a spirit presence, tail wagging in recognition.
  • A strange dog approaches to lick your hand, or a hawk locks eyes as it flies by.

Folk tales about animal helpers span hundreds of years because there are centuries of tuning in to the wider world around us and communicating with the unseen world. We can also quieten the mind and tune in like mediums and psychic s know how to do in order to receive the information that’s all around us.

We can also become aware of the worlds within worlds, and separate out what is our own mind and what is the greater, more subtle energies around us. This is the work of a trained psychic and medium, but the signs from spirit are there for everyone.

Helping savvy intuitives understand their psychic superpowers is what I do, and if you’re ready to move beyond the signs to an evidential reading, book one here.

Semi fictional story about me

In 1994, I had a midlife crisis, got a boob job and moved to Byron Bay.

Quickly realized there was nothing there but more boob jobs and white furniture, so I escaped faux-spiritual beach culture, went to Peru, and experimented with DMT.

While in Peru, fell in love with a Shaman who was really a plumber from Padstow, but stayed because of attachment issues.

After following a puma from the jungle, I holed up in a Scandi-style Air B’n’B and finally got enlightened.

Parts of this story are true.
