What happens when your guides tell you something, or give a direction, but it’s a disaster? I
Maybe there was such learning and personal growth that you’re not even the same person you used to be because of it?
Spirit guides might look like they got it wrong, but their goal is soul growth, not to make our lives easy.
They’re there to make our lives more spiritual so we can understand the depths of our soul and how to live through our soul. And if it means we learn a big fat lesson to get there, then that is the guidance.
A guide’s name
I’ve mentioned before I don’t know my guide’s name, nor do I worry about it, but I know many people do. What’s more interesting to me is their influence.
It’s about the guidance, the nudges, little hints and synchronicities. If it leads down a supposed wrong path, who’s to say it’s wrong? In 10 years time, looking back on the supposed disaster perhaps you’ll be grateful.
When I thought my own guides got it wrong
Twenty five years ago I dropped everything in my life in Sydney. I was producing fitness music. I had a partner. I had the best job in the world. I chucked it all in and ran away to Byron Bay.
I left a fantastic partner for someone in a psychic group I was convinced was my twin flame, soul mate, past life lover, etc and it was the worst relationship.
Not only was this twin flame abusive, he also embezzled my healing business, and I was stuck in Byron Bay paying rent in a shop feeling very let down by my guidance.
But the lesson? I learned how to deal with bullies and liars very well. I learned to back away slowly and exit him from the business with minimum upheaval.
I apologised to my previous partner, and not only did he move up to Byron, he proposed and we were married. I still chat to him and his present partner and enjoy a great connection.
I spotted the abuse in my own family that made me susceptible to bullies and liars and started the long road to recovery.
Chucking everything in for that ‘twin flame’ also meant meeting my current partner and we’ve been together for 21 years. If I’d never gone to Byron Bay and done that crazy thing, I’d have missed out on all that.
Guides don’t get it wrong, but they DO ask us to grow and take soul risks
All disasters are ways to grow our soul, and even the worst has a silver lining.
You’ll look back and get a silver lining because your guides are there for your spiritual growth, not your ego growth.
Disaster or best decision ever? I would love to hear your thoughts.
